Whats Going On?

As you know things didn’t work between me and Sabriya so that’s the situation I’m in right now basically. I won’t go into what happened. The bottom line is that I am using this time to focus on bettering myself and overcoming some of my issues.

I am moving out of my apartment next week. I wasn’t going to be able to lease another apartment because I still owe almost $1000 for moving out early from my last apartment in Greenville. Every place I checked told me since that’s on my record they can’t lease to me. I don’t care though. I know I could borrow some money and take care of that but I decided I don’t want to borrow any more money. I still owe a bunch so I’m going to try to save money, manage my finances better, and focus on taking care of my debts.

I should be starting a weekend job soon so that should help out a lot with my debts. I was able to get back on board at the place I worked earlier this year. It’s called Exel, which handles Walmart returns and overstocks. I’ll be working through the same temp agency. The nice part about all this is that the weekend shift is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and I was able to adjust my regular job schedule to Monday to Thursday. The tough part is that I’ll have to work everyday from 7am to 5:30pm at my regular job and 6am to 6:30pm (yep, 12.5 hours!) at Exel. Well, that’s actually a good thing because of the extra money. That’s like working two full time jobs so I should be able to get after some of my debts pretty hard…at least until I have to go back to my normal work schedule at my regular job, which could be at least through the end of the year. It may even be through spring too since work is supposed to be real slow all winter. They told me the Exel job is temp to hire so if I work there long enough they may offer to hire me permanently, which I may not accept since I know I won’t be able to work there too long- its inevitable that my regular job will go back to 5 days a week. Anyways, I wont be doing the same thing as last time (scanning cds), but it’ll be more like what I was doing at Amazon last fall- unloading trucks. So that’s what’ll be keeping me busy these days.

As far as living situation is concerned, I found a cheap hotel that charges a monthly rate comparable to apartment rental rates minus utilities. I may stay there for a minute while doing what I need to do for myself. Its in a perfect spot less than a few minutes from my regular job and less than 10 minutes from my other job. It’s right off the highway, but its in a kinda isolated spot at the same time. It doesn’t seem like one of those run down motels but I’ll check it out once I move out the apartment and see how it really is. If it’s too bad, I’ll look for something else.

The other option is to find a room for rent. I’ve seen a few listings but there’s really not a lot of options that are convenient. Especially with the two jobs I don’t want a long commute. Either way I do it is better than being bound by a stupid lease… Im free!!!!!! (but not debt free, yet, Dave Ramsey, not yet).

Since I don’t do a whole lot at work and I don’t feel like hooking up my computer or downloading Flash again and creating a new website since my files are gone again, I’ll update from my job to pass the time using Word. Hopefully I can be more consistent and keep everyone updated on how Im doing and share my thoughts.
