QW#1    6-17-13 Lust, weakness

4:27            And Allah desires that He should turn to you (mercifully), and those who follow (their) lusts desire that you should deviate (with) a great deviation.

4:28            Allah desires that He should make light your burdens, and man is created weak.

QW#2    9-29-13 Allah tries us

9:126          Do they not see that they are tried once or twice in every year, yet they do not turn (to Allah) nor do they mind.

2:155          And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient.

21:35          Every soul must taste of death and We try you by evil and good by way of probation; and to Us you shall be brought back.

18:7            Surely We have made whatever is on the earth an embellishment for it, so that We may try them (as to) which of them is best in works.

20:131        And do not stretch your eyes after that with which We have provided different classes of them, (of) the splendor of this world's life, that We may thereby try them; and the sustenance (given) by your Lord is better and more abiding.

QW#3 10-07-13 Role of Men

4:35 Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded...

QW#4 10-17-13 We are not given what we cannot bear

2:286 Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability; for it is (the benefit of) what it has earned and upon it (the evil of) what it has wrought....

5:6 ....Allah does not desire to put on you any difficulty, but He wishes to purify you and that He may complete His favor on you, so that you may be grateful.

65:7 ....Allah does not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent to which He has granted it; Allah brings about ease after difficulty.

QW#5 10-24-13 Differences between us

49:12 O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware.

QW#6 11-07-13 Let not hatred cause unfair treatment

5:8 O you who believe! Be upright for Allah, bearers of witness with justice, and let not hatred of a people incite you not to act equitably; act equitably, that is nearer to piety, and he careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is Aware of what you do.

QW#7 11-21-13 Spend of what you love to attain righteousness

3:92   By no means shall you attain to righteousness until you spend (benevolently) out of what you love; and whatever thing you spend, Allah surely knows it.

QW#8 11-27-13 Most will be misled by Satan

38:82-83 He (Iblis) said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones.

QW#9 12-11-13 All things praise Allah

57:1,59:1,61:1,62:1,64:1 Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah...

38:18-19 Surely We made the mountains to sing the glory (of Allah) in unison with him at the evening and the sunrise, And the birds gathered together; all joined in singing with him.

22:18 Do you not see that Allah is He, Whom obeys whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth, and the sun and the moon and the stars, and the mountains and the trees, and the animals and many of the people...

16:48-50  Do they not consider every thing that Allah has created? Its (very) shadows return from right and left, making obeisance to Allah while they are in utter abasement. And whatever creature that is in the heavens and that is in the earth makes obeisance to Allah (only), and the angels (too) and they do not show pride. They fear their Lord above them and do what they are commanded.

QW#10 2-28-14 Patience

2:45 And seek assistance through patience and prayer, and most surely it is a hard thing except for the humble ones.

2:249 ...Allah is with the patient.

19:65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, so serve Him and be patient in His service. Do you know any one equal to Him?

31:17 ...keep up prayer and enjoin the good and forbid the evil, and bear patiently that which befalls you; surely these acts require courage.

40:55 Therefore be patient; surely the promise of Allah is true; and ask protection for your fault and sing the praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning.

QW#11 4-18-14 Everything for Allah

6:162 Say: Surely my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are (all) for Allah, the Lord of the worlds

QW #12 5-1-14 Changing conditions of people

13:11 ...surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition.
